PHILADELPHIA
Council for the Advancement of Muslim Professionals (CAMP), a not-for-profit organization, was formed in Chicago, IL in 1994. With a vision to provide a platform solely for Muslim professionals, CAMP initially concentrated on networking, sharing the experiences of professionals, and providing knowledge transfer within the community. Over a period of 14 years, CAMP has established over 18 chapters in the US and Canada. Currently, CAMP has a membership base of approximately 22,000 individuals.
CAMP members include highly educated and successful Muslim professionals from various backgrounds, focused on helping the community and making a difference in society. CAMP´s mission is to promote the development of Muslim professionals by enhancing their understanding of mainstream corporate culture and values, through interactive programs designed to help members develop professionally.
CAMP seeks to be recognized and respected as a premier council for Muslim professional development, and CAMP promotes Muslim unity by encouraging this development through educational, social and intellectual activities within an Islamic framework.
CAMP is a well-known brand within the Muslim community, and in addition to providing benefits to Muslim professionals, has been a strong partner to other organizations, including Islamic Relief (IR), the Council on American-Islamic Relationship (CAIR), and the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), to name a few.
CAMP is an organization for tomorrow´s leaders. With an ever increasing membership base of professionals from various industries and sectors, CAMP has established itself as a premier professionals´ organization within the Muslim community.
